NHG Candidate REWARDS Program

Purpose:
To show appreciation to our best candidates (based on successful engagements) for contributing to the success of NHG.

Program Outline:
After completion of one successful engagement a $100 cash award will be sent to the candidate.

An additional $100 cash award will be sent to the candidate after completion of every successful engagement thereafter.

A successful engagement is one where the NHG candidate remains in the engagement until the client no longer has the need and receives a good reference from his/her supervisor.

Emergency Department Director

An interim Emergency Department Director is needed at a 150+ staffed bed, TJC accredited hospital in Missouri. This is a newer hospital designed for a Best Practice environment, with processes built to that environment. This is a Lean organization. The Dir is responsible for ED, Stemi program and Stroke program. This 20 bay ED with 2 designated behavioral health beds, trauma designated pods and a fast-track area has 36,000 annual visits. This is not a designated trauma center they are going for Level II Stroke designation. Approx. 60 non-union FTEs including an ED Manager. Seeking candidates that have great communication and relationship building skills with physicians (contracted) and staff. Need Quality management, communication and direction with follow-through. Must be a visible (rounding) Director, they manage at the front lines. Throughput experience is important, will need to drive the throughput initiatives. Currently addressing safety issues they are developing a community-wide SANE program and ED is initiating the process. Must have a clear understanding of productivity and Just Culture. RN with Bachelors required, Masters preferred.

Surgical Services Director

A two hospital system on the Atlantic seaboard is in need of an interim Surgical Services Director. The SS Dir has oversight for both (15 miles apart). Two managers report to this position, one from each health center and there are approx. 100 FTEs, non-union. Between both campuses there are 8 OR suites, 3 Endo rooms, 35 SDS rooms and perform approx. 550 procedures per month. No major issues or problems to address. Need someone who would be hands-on in an emergency. Must be an RN with a Bachelor degree, prefer BSN, and have Surgical Services Leadership experience in a similar sized facility.

Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator

Interim Administrator, Skilled Nursing Facility is needed for a Critical Access Hospital in CA that has an associated 125 bed SNF, with an ADC of 75. There are about 100 employees mostly CNA's. The Administrator oversees the DON, Maintenance, Medical Records, Social Services and Dietary. Medical backup is through the hospital and Medical Director. Prefer an RN, experience in nursing care administration is most important. Must be licensed in at least one state and must be willing to take the California NHA test.

Human Resources Director

Seeking an interim Human Resources Director for a medium size, Midwest, TJC accredited, nfp hospital. Oversee a team of 7, two managers are direct reports. The interim HR Leader will provide oversight of compensation and benefits, mentor, work on projects/department goals, review turnover and address nursing shortage. The ideal candidate will be a strong Human Resources Generalist, analytical, a good communicator and compensation knowledge. Bachelors degree and 5-7 years human resources experience is required. Masters degree preferred. Non-union experience preferred.

ED Manager

A TJC accredited, non-profit, non union, Critical Access Hospital in WI is in need of an Interim Emergency Department Manager. This is a small ED with 2 trauma rooms and 5 treatment rooms. 6,600 annual visits and want to increase volumes. Level II Trauma. 5 Trauma Boarded ED physicians. 20 -25 RN’s in the ED. Quality minded nurse leader with knowledge of TJC standards and prior ED management experience in addition to 3-5 years experience as an ED nurse. BS required, Masters preferred. BLS, ACLS, PALS and Wisconsin RN (or compact) license required.

Quality and Performance Improvement Manager

A non-profit, 30+bed, TJC accredited hospital seeks an interim Quality and Performance Improvement Manager. This position is responsible for assisting with the supervision of hospital-wide Improvement plans in accordance with licensing and accreditation agencies. The interim Manager will help in developing evidence-based protocols and chart reviews to gather data. This is a hands-on position with no direct reports. The QI PI Mgr will use their grasp of current best practice and lead the review, redesign and implementation of designated departments.
    Requirements
  • BSN or BS in Respiratory Therapy, Hospital Pharmacist or Lab Scientist. Master's Degree or Master’s candidate in related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of recent healthcare experience
  • Strong practical knowledge of quality improvement methods and their application at the functional level in a hospital setting
  • Provide in-service education
  • Ability to develop and facilitate quality improvement projects

Manager, Employee Health

An Interim Manager, Employee Health is needed for a California hospital. The hospital has approximately 4000 employees that utilize this department. Although this department is not unionized, the RN's, service workers and facility engineers are union employees. There are 6 direct reports, including 2 Nurse Practitioners, 1 Employee Health Nurse, 2 Administrative Staff and 1 Wellness Coordinator.
    Expectations and Goals:

Chief Executive Officer

A DNV accredited, Critical Access hospital in California is seeking an interim Chief Executive Officer. There are 20+ acute care beds including ICU with an ADC of 7 plus a 20 bed skilled nursing unit with and ADC of 20 and a rural clinic serving approx. 2,000 patients a month. A small OR performs primarily Ortho and scopes, the ED sees in excess of 700 patients a month. The CEO currently has six direct reports. Non-union. The interim CEO will focus on negotiating a loan for building the new Emergency Department. The qualified individual will be an experienced CEO who has excellent interpersonal skills, embraces a culture of excellence, study current services and advise on how to move forward. Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic experience is a must.

Chief Nursing Officer

Large, general acute care, TJC accredited hospital in central Maine seeks an interim Chief Nursing Officer. The interim CNO will oversee three directors, and two managers. Nursing staff consists of approx. 700 and make up $100 million of the employee budget. Unionized. The interim will mentor staff, work with the Studer Group, be the support and stable hand needed for nursing unit and improve nursing office procedures. Using Cerner. The best candidate will be a seasoned, experienced CNO with a Masters.
