Director, Occupational / Employee Health

Large, Illinois hospital needs a permanent Occupational / Employee Health Director to serve the hospital and local businesses. Services provided include immunizations, blood / lab work, drug screening, finger printing, foreign travel, pre-employment physicals, worker’s comp and wellness checks. Approximately 4,000 served, with 1,500-2,000 active at any one time. The Director will be part of team focusing on business development. Additionally the Director will work to improve client satisfaction. The department has 35 non-union FTEs.

Candidate Profile / Experience & Credentials:

Critical Access Hospital with an Emergency Room and associated Long Term Care facility needs a permanent Director of Nursing. CAH is 8-bed (ADC 3, ER 3) and the LTC is 22-bed (ADC 15). Practice Management Director

Located in southeast Texas is a Physician Practice that needs a permanent Practice Management Director. Practice areas include cardiology, vascular and cosmetic surgery. Surgery consists of two multi-purpose procedure rooms. Imaging also provided. Approx. 10 employees. Volumes of ~20 patients daily and 4-5 procedures. Open Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm.

The Director oversees day-to-day management, supervise and schedule staff, ensure accurate documentation and insurance verification, assist in business development, procedure room prep coordination, assist in maintaining compliance, manage customer service initiatives and manage the budget.

Challenges include guiding clinic through expansion, work with vendors and assist employees during the growth period.

Must be a seasoned leader with healthcare background who can provide stability, structure and guidance/mentorship. Must be an experienced negotiator with labor relations experience. Contracts due second half of year. Will support Business Partners in addressing low performers in management and address issues of accountability. Must be comfortable with working in Hawaii dealing with culture change (living on a rock), cost of living etc. and have full support of your family.

Experience & Credentials

Patient Care Services Director

A Director of Patient Care Services is needed on a permanent basis for a 150+ bed, faith-based, not-for-profit, TJC accredited community teaching hospital in the Chicago area. They have restructured the Patient Care Services and will be building a new facility in a few years. Four direct reports including Tele/ICU, ED, Perinatal Services and Psych. Over 400 employees with some entry level staff represented by Union. No upcoming surveys.

Expectations/Goals

Behavioral Health Director

A TJC accredited healthcare system in central Wisconsin is seeking a permanent Director for their Behavioral Health Services. Specializing in mental health and substance abuse for adults and youth (13+ years). Services include MMT (medially monitored treatment), Ambulatory Detox, Crisis CBRF and Crisis Services Program. The 16 bed inpatient unit (locked). There are 3-4 direct reports to the Director. Recently the facility has started working with a local college and will have a residency program that will be working with the behavioral units and other programs. Their programs are growing. This is an opportunity to take a growing organization to the next level. The Director will provide a strong presence and build relationships with physicians and staff.

An RN with Masters degree and leadership experience in mental health and /or substance abuse is required. Full benefit package included along with relocation allowance.

Director of Revenue Cycle

A southeastern IN hospital with an ADC of 125 is searching for a permanent Director, Revenue Cycle (currently using an interim). The department consists of Billing and Collections, Patient Access and Pre-certification/Scheduling. There are 100 FTE's reporting to this position and 7 Managers. Issues to be resolved include productivity and timeliness in getting the billings out as well as collecting payments and improving communications with the physicians. No audits or surveys are due. Qualified candidate must be results oriented and have proven success in the revenue cycle field. Experience and excellent communication skills are most important. EPIC experience preferred.

Nurse Manager, Patient Navigation

This is your opportunity to shine! Showcase your skills and expertise as a Nurse Manager of Patient Navigation at a new treatment facility that is a destination center for oncology care. Patient Navigators provide personal guidance to patients as they move through the heath care system. This is a non-union facility. This role will provide oversight, management, will be integral in building and launching the program and communicating with the different services. There will be approx. 20 direct reports including RN Navigators and Coordinators. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Requires a Florida licensed RN with a minimum of a Bachelor degree, Master degree is strongly desired, at least 5 years in nursing, 3 years of oncology experience and 2 years of management experience. Ideally the candidate will have experiences in performance improvement, data systems, and patient navigation. Does not require an Oncology Certification for the interim position, but a candidate interested in the permanent position would have to get certified within two years. Chief Executive Officer

Critical access hospital seeks a PERM Chief Executive Officer. In addition to the 22 bed hospital, the CEO is also responsible for an Outpatient Clinic. There are 5 direct reports and 120+ FTEs. The six member leadership team consists of CEO, CFO, DON, Director of Human Resources and Director of Information Systems. The CEO reports to a five member Board or Directors. The hospital uses state of the art equipment for an array of services, including Anesthesia services, inpatient services, medical imaging, respiratory therapy, emergency, services, lab services PT and Surgical Services.

The new CEO needs to show commitment to the community and instill an atmosphere of open communication and collaboration within the hospital. There are no immediate projects or pending surveys.

The successful candidate will be adept at building strong relationships and skilled in recruitment. In addition, the CEO must be a creative thinker and be able to bring ideas on how to improve reimbursement. A Masters degree with 4-5 years CEO experience (preferably in a Critical Access or rural hospital) is required.

This is a small coastal town on the Pacific Ocean with beaches, boating, fishing, wild life, and golfing.

Director of Case Management

A large, TJC accredited, nfp, faith based hospital is in need of a permanent Case Management Director. This position is responsible for case management and for the robust labor and delivery program. The seasoned leader will focus on building morale and reducing LOS. Will also address efficiencies; improve documentation, appropriate in-patient and out-patient designation and denial management. In the process of installing EPIC software. There is 25+ staff in department.

Louisiana RN license required. Bachelors degree required. InterQual and Milliman experience required. EPIC experience would be a plus. At least 5 years experience as a Director of Case Management.

Chief Financial Officer

A new hospital on the west coast is seeking a regular/perm Chief Financial Officer. This is a 35 bed non-profit hospital with approx. 120 FTEs. The CFO oversees Patient Accounts, Accounting, Materials Management, Facilities Management and Medical Records. The Senior Accountant and Payroll/AP Clerk are direct reports. Fiscal year is Jan1 through Dec 31. This is a hands-on position in which the CFO will prepare monthly financial reports for the Board and Finance Committee, holding departments accountable for budgets, train as needed how to read financial statements and productivity reports. The qualified candidate will have small hospital CFO experience with a minimum of a Bachelors degree. Start-up experience a plus.
